Leading aircraft charter specialist, 包机服务, last week arranged to fly 100 tonnes of confectionary to restock a warehouse in 秘鲁 that had suffered from fire damage and lost most of its supply of candy.

理查德·汤普森, ACS美洲总裁, commented: “The company’s logistics provider called us saying that the sweets needed to be flown from 墨西哥 as soon as possible so that the warehouse’s distribution was affected as little as possible. 我们安排了一个 波音b747 - 400 to position into 墨西哥 City to pick up every child’s dream – 100 tonnes of candy!

“Due to strict slots for cargo flights at 墨西哥 City (there is only a six hour window every day), a little more planning had to go into the loading than with a regular charter. We needed to make sure the aircraft departed on time to ensure minimal disruption to the 秘鲁vian supply chain and we managed to complete the operation well within the client’s timetable.”

汤普森的结论, “Charter flights with food are fairly commonplace, before now we’ve flown in extra turkey for Thanksgiving, 把面粉运到玉米饼工厂, burgers for a well-known fast food chain and ham to 波多黎各 – because they’d run out!”
